According to AAN, Medicare, AMA and other guidelines, the monitoring professional must be solely dedicated to performing the intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring and must be available at all times during the service as necessary. When monitoring more than one procedure, there must be the immediate ability to transfer patient monitoring to another monitoring professional.
Quality Assurance Guidelines
Each Interpreting Physician is assessed once a month. A random case is selected to review for punctuality, responsiveness, appropriate interpretation throughout the procedure and timely case report submission.
Quality Assurance Reports are prepared on a quarterly basis. They are reviewed by the Medical Director and used to encourage a standard across all ATLAS Interpreting Physicians.
ATLAS prides itself in quality assurance.
HIPAA & HITECH Compliant
ATLAS follows all guidelines of the Joint Commission as well as the standards of the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring.
